Could America Have Another Spiritual Awakening?

Saturday, March 17th, 2012 Posted in sermons | 5 Comments »

It seems to me that the Unites States of America has two choices before her: Judgment or Revival.

But what exactly is this thing we call revival?
Richard Owen Roberts wrote “Revival is an extraordinary movement of the Holy Spirit producing extraordinary results.”
Another said “Revival is a community saturated with God!”
A.W. Tozer defined revival as “That which changes the moral climate of a community.”
America has had three great spiritual awakenings through our history.
Perhaps even four, if you count the Jesus Movement, and I do.
So here is the question: Could it happen again?

I say YES!

Find out more this Sunday at Harvest Riverside and Orange County in my message, “Hope for America, Part 2.”
Service times are 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 AM for Harvest Riverside.
9:30 and 11:30 AM for Harvest Orange County.

The Harvest Crusades Are Coming!

Monday, March 12th, 2012 Posted in sermons | 5 Comments »

We are very excited about this year’s Harvest Crusades here in Southern California. They will be held in both Anaheim and Los Angeles.

With all the talk about Harvest America, I want to make sure you don’t miss the other nights that will be happening as well.

First of all, there is a change from over two decades of crusades in Anaheim. We are only doing two nights at Angel Stadium this year.

Reason being, we are adding a night to the LA Crusade, so it will be four nights of evangelism and amazing music at both Angel and Dodger Stadium.

Here is the lineup so far:

Saturday, August 25 and 26 at Angel Stadium

Special music by Third Day, Gungor, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, and Mercy Me!

Don’t forget that August 26 is the Harvest America event. Then, 12 days later…

Saturday, September 8 and 9 at Dodger Stadium

Special music by The Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Phil Wickham.

There are more surprises as well well, so stay tuned, but most importantly, be praying!

You can watch my message from Alaska today at 11:00 AM

Sunday, March 11th, 2012 Posted in sermons | 1 Comment »

I’ve been having a great time in the amazing state of Alaska. It’s been called the “Final Frontier” and the “Land of the Midnight Sun.” There is simply no place in America, and even the world, like the great state of Alaska!

On Saturday, I had the privilege to speak at the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast. I spoke on the topic of America’s only real hope for the future, which of course is a spiritual awakening. The crowd was very responsive, as was Governor Parnell himself. Many told me that they felt it was the perfect message for Alaska at this time.

Trouble in Paradise

Despite it’s immense beauty, there are great challenges that Alaskans face. For starters, the suicide rate is Alaska is twice the national average! There is also a higher rate of violence against Alaskan women then the national average. 59%of of Alaskan women surveyed by the Anchorage news said they had experienced physical violence and/or threats from a partner. Add to this the fact that Alaska has the highest rate of drug use in the country and you can see that people here need to hear the gospel.

So I will be speaking to a statewide audience today at the Anchorage Baptist Temple, pastored by Jerry Prevo. This message is simulcast throughout  Alaska via radio and TV, as well as the Internet, at 11:00 AM Alaska time.

In fact, you can watch it live at

My Thoughts from 32,000 Feet

I am writing this email on the plane on the way to Alaska! They have Internet access on planes now. Who would have ever thought?

This is why we at  Harvest are so excited about our special outreach for one night that we are calling “Harvest America.” Imagine being able to watch this evangelistic event on a plane, or in your home, or on your phone or tablet device, or in a live venue that is receiving a live feed from Angel Stadium!

You can find out more by going to

I am on my way to speak at the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast on Saturday in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a unique opportunity and I must say the first Governor’s Prayer Breakfast I have ever given a message at. (I have done a few Mayor’s Prayer Breakfasts over the years.) For more info on this, go to

I will also be speaking at Anchorage Baptist Temple on Sunday morning, so if you know anyone in the Anchorage area, let them know! For more info, go to

This Weekend at Harvest

For you at Harvest, remember this weekend we have a very special speaker, Dinesh D’Souza. Dinesh was a policy adviser in the Reagan White House and is the author of many bestselling books. He also has debated atheists like the late Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins. Dinesh’s message title is “Godforsaken.” He will be dealing with the “whys” of suffering.

We will also have special musical guest, Britt Nicole! Don’t forget the time change is this weekend, so “Spring forward!” That’s all for now, so I will see you “Here, there, or in the air!”

Tonight at Harvest Orange County!

Thursday, March 8th, 2012 Posted in sermons | 2 Comments »

The Bible tells us to “work out our own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).

What does that mean exactly?
Certainly it is not telling us to work FOR our salvation, as that is a gift from God through faith.

Another way to translate this would be “WORK OUT your own salvation.”
In other words, carry it to the goal and fully complete it.
That is what I will be talking about tonight at Harvest Orange County.

The title of my message is “We Can Work It Out” from our new series from the book of Philippians, Better Than Happiness.

I am going to point out five things that should be true of every Christian as well.
Also, there will be special music by THE AFTERS!
It’s going to be a great night, so if you are in the area, join us, or watch it all live at 7:00 PM, PST at
