Happy Father’s Day

In my opinion, a godly father is nothing short of a hero. But by and large, they are undervalued and unappreciated for the epic influence they have on family, society, and the church.

For Father’s Day, I wanted to share a new e-book with you that I’ve written on this topic. It’s called Unsung Hero. And to all of those great Christian dads out there who are running the race and keeping the faith, let me say on behalf of an appreciative church, thank you!

As mentioned earlier I listen to your weekly radio broadcasts at 8:30 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. if I missed the first one in which I am greatly encouraged and uplifted. I also tune in to your weekly television broadcasts which air on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. I will also be seeing the movie, “Steve McQueen, The Salvation of an American Icon” in which I have already purchased my ticket. I am looking forward to it.

I am saddened to hear that both you and Steve had a bitter and hard childhood in which neither of you knew your biological fathers. That he had an abusive and alcoholic mother and your mother was in and out of marriage seven (7) times — something that neither of you should have witnessed and grown up around.

As I wrote to you when I attended Harvest Christian Fellowship, my parents were very caring and loving as I grew up in a loving Christian home in which both of my parents read the Bible. Quite the opposite! My parents are now living with the Lord. My dad passed on of a heart attack December 3, 2000 when they both went to the state line as they were retired from the school district. He started experiencing chest pains as he had a bad heart. My mother (Mary Ann Greksa) also passed on of a heart attack three (3) years later September 13, 2003. I was just outside of her hospital room when she drew her last breath. As you can imagine, this past Mother’s Day and Father’s Day were bittersweet for me as I love and miss them deeply and dearly. But I also know that as a Christian and beyond my grief that I will one day see them in heaven. It is never good bye but until we meet again beyond the blue. Beyond the blue sky, that is! They are resting at Montecito in San Bernardino. She is the one who made those passionate mashed potatoes I told you about and I mixed tons of butter in. There was sweetness in those mashed potatoes — my mother’s love and sweetness. As stated, the chapter is written and the book is forever closed. I tried to take care of her in her final days but to no avail — I am no caregiver. God knew best and did what was best. To Him and Him alone I give all the glory, honor, and praise.

Again, thank you for all that you do and keep up the great and marvelous work that you are doing for the Lord!

    In Christ,

    Carol Ann Greksa

P.S. Please keep me in prayer as Wednesday, June 28 will also be bittersweet as it is my 57th birthday.

I love you guys from eternal to eternal. I have been attending Harvest since 1985 and in the Holy Spirit since 1997. Thank you for all the enduring and dilligence Mr. Gregory. My father Wayne has been engaged with you since Calvary Chapel Downey’s initiation.

    Farewell,

    Jeremiah.

I listen to your daily messages every morning on KWAVE at 8:30 and am so encouraged and uplifted. I also tuned in to your Harvest America last Sunday and was so excited about how many people walked on down onto the field. “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!” for the great and marvelous things He is doing in these last days. I will also be going to see the movie, “Steve McQueen, the Salvation of an American Icon as I am looking forward to seeing it.

Thank you so much for all that you are doing as God has truly blessed you and Cathe abundantly and richly. Keep up the good work!

I hope you had a blessed Father’s Day.
