Lost Boy news!

February 5th, 2009 Posted in lost boy, Lost Boy Blog, travel

Hey everyone! I thought I would give you all an update on the Lost Boy documentary film.

We have re-edited the original cut, and the new version is now being shown in various churches. And there are also special Lost Boy live events that I am speaking at. I hope to post the new version online very soon for you to view.

We are also producing a new DVD version, with special extras in it that you can share with friends.

Lost Boy in Dallas

Lost Boy: The Next Chapter is showing at Prestonwood Baptist Church this weekend. I will also give a message after each showing.

Prestonwood is one of the largest churches in the country and is pastored by a good friend of mine, Jack Graham. I think Jack is the consummate pastor. He is a great leader, teacher, counselor, administrator, and he knows where the best BBQ in Dallas is!

We will be showing the full version of the film (one hour and five minutes) on Saturday, February 7, at 6:00 P.M. Due to time constraints, we will show a shorter version on Sunday, February 8, at the 9:15 A.M and 11:00 A.M. services, followed by a message from me.

So if you know anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please let them know. For more information, click here to visit Prestonwood’s Web site.

Lost Boy in Chicago

We will also show Lost Boy: The Next Chapter on February 21-22 at the Harvest Bible Chapel.

This church is pastored by another good friend, James MacDonald. James just completed a series of message at our church, so I am returning the favor for James.

Again, the film will be shown on Saturday night and at the Sunday morning services. I will speak after each showing and sign copies of Lost Boy after each service.

For more info on that, click here to visit Harvest Bible Chapel’s Web site.

Lost Boy in San Diego

Coming up on Wednesday, March 18, we will screen Lost Boy: The Next Chapter at Maranatha Chapel in San Diego. Maranatha Chapel is pastored by, yes, another friend, Ray Bentley, who I’ve known for many years.

I will speak after the showing, and sign copies of the Lost Boy book too.

Whew! That’s all for now!

    Wow, Greg.

Every time I see the film Lost Boy, it brings back memories of the tent, pirate cove, the Philadelphia house, and the good times. The times are even better now. I showed your Lost Boy video again today to about 80 inmates here at the jail. Tears, applause, and many came to know our Lord Jesus. I am hoping to get some copies of Living Water from the bookstore and give them out the next time I show it.

    Blessings in Christ,
    Chaplain Phillip Smith

Just to let you know, Pastor Greg, that I pray for you and your family daily. I am Daniel’s mom. He left this earth just as suddenly as your son on the same day last year, just an hour later. He was the youngest of my four children and my only son. I miss him more than I thought possible. Although, aren’t we blessed to know that we will see our boys again? Your writing about this time has been a major part of my healing.

  5. RJ says:

Awesome, Pastor Greg! Preach it in Dallas! We cannot wait until you come back to Harvest to preach. Blessings!

    Hi Pastor Greg!!!

I won’t be able to make it this weekend to Dallas :( Believe me, I want to go but already spent my check :( and my Mom is getting surgery too this Saturday, just found about that last night.

One of my plans for this year was your screening at Dallas, but definitely can’t make it. I’ll push so I can go to either the South Dakota or Anaheim crusades, and I’ve already been praying for it!

I’ll e-mail my nephew (my age, I’m not that old) and invite him to go to your screening in Dallas.

Thank you for your ministry and life, keep pressing on for your work for the Lord is never in vain, plus it’s the only work that has eternal rewards!!

Your family remains in my prayers,

    In Him,
    Mariana.
