No limbs, no limits . . . no worries!

July 14th, 2008 Posted in lost boy, Lost Boy Blog, photos, video

On Sunday morning, I interviewed Nick Vujicic. What a wonderful young man he is.

God is using Nick in a powerful way to bring encouragement to people all around the world. He has been featured recently on the TV program 20/20. He will be on Oprah Winfrey’s show in the near future, as well.

Nick takes his disability and uses it as an ability to glorify God. Who can argue with a man who has faced the setbacks that Nick has? He is a living testimony of God’s grace.

Here is a video of the interview I did with him:

Long lines at Barnes & Noble for Lost Boy

I had a secret fear that not many would show up. Well, that was unfounded! Tons of people showed up and we had a great time.

It was fun to meet some of my “blogging buddies” there as well!

Speaking of book signings, I will be doing another one at Barnes and Noble, but this time at their Newport Beach store. That one will be on August 3. More on that later.

    Very nice.

We saw Nick at 3rd service Sunday morning. My wife and I were captivated by this guy.
The love of God seemed to radiate from his eyes – it was as if beams of light were coming from him and he was glowing. We had sung Mighty To Save earlier in the service and the one line ‘Shine your light and let the whole world see’ was extremely poignant and timely. Listening to you remind us of the Great Commission for all christians consistently through your messages….and not always feeling bold enough to do so….let’s just say seeing Nick prompted me to cut and paste the link to the video and e-mail it to many contacts. Thank you for having him…..God Bless!

    Hi Pastor Greg,

Having Nick there was a life-changing experience for me. Listening to him talk at Day7 (I couldn’t make it but I watched the recording of it later that night…one thing I LOVE about Harvest, by the way) and give his testimony was not only heartbreaking, but it acted as a catalyst that caused me to re-examine my relationship with Jesus and re-dedicate my life to Him.

My previous relationship with Him could be summed up in an Alicia Keys lyric: “I keep on falling in and out of love with you.” But now I can relate it more in the words of Stuart Townend’s “In Christ Alone.”

I’m sorry for the long comment. I’m even weirding myself out because I am usually very private, but I was just so touched by his message. Thank you for inviting him to speak.

PS. I must confess I haven’t bought your book yet, but I will soon. =)

God continues to use you mightily because you make yourself available to Him and you always direct others to Him. Congratulations that your secret fear did not happen. God bless you in your travels!

I am so glad you put up that Q&A portion. I’ve shown it to my boss, her husband, and now they’re forwarding it to their friends and looking at Nick’s Web site.

I took my 11-year-old granddaughter, Lexie, to meet Pastor Greg, and also to have him sign her book. She was so excited, and it really made her day! Thank you so much for telling your Lost Boy story, and for signing all of our books! God Bless you and Cathe!

  7. Lexie says:

    Pastor Greg,
I had such a great time meeting you!
It was so cool just to be there and I actually saw your wife Cathe :)
Thanx you so much for signing my book!
