Just finished reading Wrestling With God. What a blessing to see how our Great God goes before us, giving us what we need, just when we need it. I never knew this book existed and just happened upon it while looking for a specific devotional. After reading it, I had to get on line and find out more about its author. There I saw the prayer request. Upon reading the request, the Holy Spirit nudged my heart to send my condolences. We never get over losing loved ones, but what a comfort to know we will be with them once again, in a far better place. After my parents passed away, the Lord led me to a book (pretty much the way He lead me to yours) called HEAVEN by: Randy Alcorn. What a difference and great help it has been.
Loving each of you, through my prayers.

    Dear Pastor Greg,

I lost my brother on 8/02/09, the hurt in my heart is unbearable. I have never lost a family member except for grandparents and am having a difficult time as I know you can relate. A friend of mine brought the DVD Lost Boy to my brothers memorial service and after looking at the DVD sitting on my table for 6 weeks I finally watched your story. My brother was a lost boy as well growing up as he did not have a father, none of us did. My brother was walking with the lord when he passed away and I thank god for that. I on the other hand have been sitting on the fence sort of speak but because of your story, I’m jumping off that fence and straight into the arms of the lord. I will dedicated the rest of my life to Jesus and spreading THE WORD OF HIS UNFAILING LOVE FOR US ALL.
Thank you for sharing your life story with the world, in turn my world is now forever changed.
May God Bless you and your entire family!

    Warm Regards,

    Karen

I just wanted to tell you how much of an inspiration you are to me. I walked to my sons room the day before mothers day may 2008 and found him dead. So many times when I heard of people loosing a child i have made the statement that I would have to be buried with one of mine if it happened to me. God has since taught me that his grace is truly sufficient even when life becomes unbearable he gives the strength to go on.please know that my families prayers are with yours.

    Dear Pastor and family,
Today was first time I ever heard you on radio in Phila area,in fact was not at all aware of you or your church. It so touched me,your expression of sorrow about the loss of your son. It has been 20 years since my son 30 years of age passed away suddenly,3 days after his birthday. You are so right no words can console you,and you will never be the same, there was no consolation in prayer, the help came by my focusing on his 4 siblings who needeed me more than ever. They followed my lead as we grieved, my mom taught me to accept Gods will and speak to him and about him as if he was still -physically her.

Just a note to tell you, Brittany, and all your family that I know the Lord Jesus is for you in every way! Ministering to your little girl is so important because she really can’t say what she feels, and she needs to receive that comfort in tangible ways…God will show you how. You are so loved by the Lord Jesus Christ and He will make you stronger than you ever knew possible.
    love in Christ, Sara
