Happy birthday, Billy Graham!
November 7th, 2009 Posted in Pastor's corner, encouragementToday is the 91st birthday for renowned evangelist Billy Graham. So to Billy, I wish you a very blessed and happy birthday.
Earlier this week, I posted an article about my recent lunch with him at his home in North Carolina. If you didn’t get a chance to read it before, click here to check it out.
Ravi Zacharias is speaking this Sunday at Harvest!
We are thrilled to have Ravi Zacharias as our special guest speaker this Sunday at Harvest.
Ravi is one of the most effective apologists of our time. For 35 years, he has spoken all over the world and in numerous universities, notably Harvard, Princeton, and Oxford University. He has direct contact with key leaders, senators, congressmen, and governors who consult him on an ongoing basis. As the 2008 Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer, he gave addresses at the White House, the Pentagon, and The Cannon House.
I have always been blessed and challenged by his unique and biblical insights. I am really glad that you will all have a chance to hear him this weekend in our Sunday services at Harvest. If you aren’t able to be there in person, the services will also be webcast live at harvest.org.
An Evening of Hope
Also this week, I wrote about our upcoming An Evening of Hope, featuring legendary Christian musician Steven Curtis Chapman.
This will be the first time Steven and I have ministered together in the aftermath of our children going to heaven. Steven’s adopted daughter Maria Sue and my beloved son Christopher both went to heaven unexpectedly in 2008.
Our objective will be to share some of the great truths that have brought hope to us in these very difficult times in both of our lives. I believe that this will be a unique and powerful evening that you will not want to miss.
An Evening of Hope will take place on Sunday, November 15, at 6:00 P.M. at Harvest Christan Fellowship. For more info, click here.

Happy Birthday Billy,
We love you and you are truely a blessing. Have a wonderful day.
God bless you
Greg,
Thank you for having Ravi Zacharias speak at today’s early morning service. A couple,Dick & Barbara, from Ontario, Canada are down here for Cancer Treatment at Loma Linda for him. Please put Dick in your prayers. Barbara has a book of Ravi Zacharias and heard from your radio program of him speaking at today’s service, so she went to the library to search for the address for Harvest and while at Loma Linda, they mentioned to a girl about Ravi speaking here at some place called Harvest, so the girl stated that is where she goes and told her to go to the first service to hear him live. They sat next to me in today’s service & may return next Sunday as well. I told her about The Lost Boy and she said she’d be interested in reading that as well. She was so grateful as she was hoping to hear him speak live and twice since she was here, she felt she should go to Harvest, and this was their first time attending Harvest. Thank you for asking Ravi to speak at your service today. I told them I’d be sitting in the same place I do and they said they’d be returning. Thank you again!
Hi Greg,
Thank you for having Ravi come to church. So sobering and awesome at the same time. He just make so much sense. Thank you for your messages too. The answer is still Gods word. It hasnt lost power just that mans hearts have waxed cold. Tell us like it is. We need to hear the truth. Keep pressing forward. Your in our prayers. I want to make a difference in someones life too.
God bless,
Linda and Jody
