This Weekend at Harvest-

November 27th, 2009 Posted in holidays, Pastor's corner, sermons

It’s official now: Christmas is coming!

I wanted to let you know that I will be giving a special message titled “Don’t Lose Jesus at Christmas!” this Saturday in Orange County. I will be joined in music by Christian band Tenth Avenue North.

This special night was put together because we did not have our normal Thursday night study this week, as it was Thanksgiving.

Our Saturday service begins at 6:00 P.M. I hope to see you there.

Franklin Graham at Harvest

I will be giving this same message this Sunday morning at Harvest, and Tenth Avenue North will also join me there.

This Sunday night, we will be having a very special guest speaker: my friend Franklin Graham. It will be an evening with an evangelistic emphasis, so I hope you might bring a friend who does not yet know the Lord.

Once again, Tenth Avenue North will be our special music guest.

And, of course, it will all be webcast at harvest.org.

The Fred Jordan Mission

We had a wonderful time on Thanksgiving day at the Fred Jordan Mission on L.A.’s Skid Row. Thousands of people were in attendance and I was able to preach the gospel. I spoke twice and the second service was also done in Spanish through an interpreter.

This year, I gave an invitation and we saw many come to Christ.

The weather was just perfect, with temperatures in the high 70s. I met some very interesting people that day–from the unknown to the quite famous who turn out for these days–and I was able to share Christ with them as well.

We brought a group of young people from our Church called the SWAT (Students with a Testimony) team to help in follow-up counseling. My friend Dennis Agajanian did special music, backed up by Hanz Ives and Billy Batstone from our worship team.

It was a blessed day. Thanks for your prayers.
