How to Know the Will of God

January 23rd, 2010 Posted in essentials, Pastor's corner, sermons

I will be back at Harvest on Sunday morning to speak on a topic that we all wonder about: the will of God.

Does God indeed have a master plan for our lives? If so, how do I discover it? How do I hear His voice? How do I know the will of God?

These are important questions, and they are not easily answered, but we will take a shot at this weekend.

You are invited to join us for our services in person, or online at harvest.org. We will have a time of Communion after the message.

Our service times are 7:45 A.M., 9:45 A.M. and 11:45 A.M., Pacific Time.

By the way, this will bring to a close our series of more than 30 messages that I have called Essentials: What Every Christian Needs to Know. Next Sunday, I will launch a follow-up to the Essentials series, which I am calling Worldview. I’ll have more details on it later.

Great stuff. Watched it on my iPod while out to lunch solo recently. Will be sharing it with some graduates. It’s a message that they really need to hear at their young age!!

    PASTOR Greg,
let me start by saying Thank You so very much for all you do around the world. Not one day goes by without me listening to you on the radio. The lord opened my eyes and called on me august 2009. I was terrified and scared but,as i listen to you share the gospel i realized that this is one of the many tools God uses to reach us.Thanks once again pastor Greg. God bless you and your family.

THANK YOU Pastor Greg for the acronym THINK you used on Sunday. I have used it in my classroom several times but I could never remember what the I stood for. It was driving me crazy. This time I wrote it in my bible.

It’s so interesting to me that this would be what you’re going to address tomorrow. Yesterday I was thinking about the difference between God’s perfect will and God’s permissive will. (Periodically I hear people mention this.) This also ties to God’s control and sovereignty, and man’s free will/choice. Maybe there’s not a clear answer – it’s just something I wonder about sometimes. Will be praying for you.

I loved your devotional today about ‘loving the Church’.

Thank you Greg for never compromising. You are ‘cool’ and it is cool today to put down the church and you don’t, but instead you come out and boldly claim that you LOVE the church!

Thank you for busting people in a very loving way, to challenge them to really be all that God has for them and to become and remain, a part of this wonderful Body of Christ.
