I can’t even begin to understand the sorrow you experienced when Chris died. Wow. I look forward to the day when our Father will wipe every tear from our eyes and we will all be together once again with Him in the Kingdom. Stay focused on that promise brother lest it get overwhelming for you. My heart and prayers go out to you my friend.
We WILL see Chris again in heaven – thank God we have that PROMISE from Christ. And thank God for Christ’s sacrifice that ASSURES us of the final gathering as a fmaily forever.
Many blessings Greg,
We lost our first born son, Matthew, at age 12 in an accident. He was riding his bicycle and was hit by a person speeding on a motorcycle.
The grief was overwhelming, but God will truly see you through. It has been 25 years and our wounds are no longer raw and we know we will spend eternity with him in heaven and be rejoicing forever. Matthew was ‘saved’ at age 4 and it really took.
I know you will keep your eyes on God as he wants to help you.
I was looking for comfort this morning. We lost our son two years ago at the age of 29. Then shortly afterward, lost our 1 year old granddaughter and daughter-in-law via detachment due to our dear daughter-in-law’s difficulty dealing with grief. I so appreciate your words and you sharing you heart. Praising God with a broken instrument…Kathy (Hab 3:17-19)
Pastor Greg, thank you for ministering to us continually . . . even through your own time of grief . . . you hit the process right on the nail . . . like a tsunami . . . I too lost, my sister, my beautiful sister . . . I miss her dearly . . . but God, our all-loving, always-faithful God, is with me as He is with you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you always,
Peace and Love, Libby
Dear Pastor Greg,
Thank you for sharing about how you were feeling when you preached during the Harvest Crusades. I was so concerned, but I know so many people were praying.
I will definitely be going to the Preach the Word Conference to help me with my Sunday School class.
Prayers and Blessings,
I agree…you should be greeted like that every time you speak..
and ‘enveloped in grace’…I like that.
Greg, Cathe, Jonathan, Brittany and Stella,
We are still praying for you. We continue to pray that our loving Father will comfort you through this season of grief. We love you!

I’m so appreciating the Harvest videos, all the YouTube updates, and your blogging thoughts. My favorite video is the part where Christopher talks and the short power point of his life, as it was shared at the memorial service and at the crusade.
Thank you so much for being transparent during this trial. You are ministering so powerfully in His grace through your grief. I’m watching you, crying with you and for you all. Somehow know that you are preparing me (and millions) for the next big trial I (we) will go through with the best counsel available on earth, the Lord’s counsel and the power of His Word and His promises.
Christ bless you and thank you so much for your humble obedience and amazing sharing.
