We Remember!

May 30th, 2011 Posted in sermons

Today is Memorial day.

For many, this is a day off to spend with family and friends. For others, it’s the official start of the summer holidays.

But for some today, it’s a time for deep sadness. For they remember the ultimate sacrifice their loved one made defending our freedoms.

These courageous soldiers gave their lives for what I believe is the greatest country on the face of the earth:

The United States of America!

Stars and Stripes

I think it’s sad that many Americans are not flying the stars and stripes today. On my block, my next-door neighbor and I are the only ones. It’s the least we can do to honor the fallen.

So, happy Memorial Day everyone!

Enjoy your BBQ’s and time with family and friends. And remember those that died to help make that possible.

Jesus said, “Greater love has no man than this, that he lay his life down for His friends.”

P.S. – Put out an American flag as well!

I agree what happened to all the flag wavers?

I guess they have forgotten that this year shall also be the tenth anniversary for 911.

My thoughts and heart goes out to all the men and women who have served our country and preserved our freedom. Blessings and appreciation to their families as well.

May God Bless you and keep you.

In our Lord and Saviors name,
    Jesus Christ.
