This Sunday at Harvest Riverside and Orange County
December 1st, 2012 Posted in sermonsHave you ever prayed and prayed for something that you believed to be the will of God, and heard nothing from heaven? Does God hear all of our prayers, and if He does, why doesn’t He answer? In a way, God does answer all prayer, with: yes, no, and wait.
It may be we just don’t like the answer we receive.
This Sunday at Harvest, I want to look at those prayers that seem like they will never be answered. We are going to look at the story of two godly people: Zacharias and Elizabeth. They had prayed for years for a son and nothing happened.
Then one day the answer to their prayer came, delivered by the mighty angel Gabriel no less!
Their story is what we might call the ‘prequel’ to the greatest story ever told: the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
