Pray for Rick Warren and Family

April 6th, 2013 Posted in sermons

You may have heard the tragic news that Matthew Warren, the 27-year-old son of Pastor Rick Warren and his wife, Kay, has died.
I too have had a son die, so I have a sense of the pain Rick and Kay are facing. But their circumstances are different and my heart goes out to them.
At times like these, there really are no words, but there is the Word.
There is no manual, but there is Emmanuel.
God is with us.
I know the Lord will be there for all of the Warren family and Saddleback Church as they grieve together.
Looking forward to that day when God will “restore all things.” (Acts 3:21).

    Dear Family Warren,

I had a very hart time believing what happened. We all endure hardship, some more some less. A godly family like the Warren’s going through something like this is difficult to understand.
But we all know God’s love and we have to trust Him. I pray for comfort and peace for the whole family. (I forward your daily devotion to a lot of people. I love to start the day with it)

Hugs and prayers from Harmony,Pa where we live and are still healing from the loss of our beloved son who suffered with mental illness. I have lost 3 siblings, my dad, my best friend and my marriage in the last few years. I know how painful loss is, but thank the Lord for the comfort and peace I received as I listened to the CD’s from your Purpose Driven Life. I only wish that there was something I could do for the Warren family in return. I listened over and over to those CD’s, cried rivers of tears, but found Purpose in my life with Christ. One of my sibling’s also had mental illness and took his own life on Father’s day. I truly pray that God will surround you with the comfort of the Holy Spirit as He did our family. God Bless.
