It’s a Girl!

June 12th, 2008 Posted in family, video

Brittany, Stella, and Christopher Laurie

As you know, my son Christopher and his wife Brittany are expecting another child, which of course means another grandchild for Cathe and me.

Well, we just found out that it is . . . A GIRL! So Stella, our first grandchild, will have a little sister to take care of.

Stella already is a very nurturing little girl. She likes to play with her little miniature kitchen set that we got her and feed her little baby doll in the high chair.

Having raised two boys, this is a whole new world for Cathe and me. Now she will have a little baby sister to love.

Any ideas for baby girl names?

We are praying for Chris and his family! Time goes by so quickly. I got saved in 1980 and spent lots of time at “Calvary Chapel Riverside”. Things have really changed since then. Hold on to those you love, share life, share Jesus, share time. We love you all.

  11. Ted & Bonnie says:

    Pastor Greg and family,

Our hearts are grieving for you as we lost our son a few years ago in an accident when he was 30. Yesterday, July 24, 2008 was our sons’s 38th birthday. We understand what you may be going through right now and it bring tears to my eyes and pain in my heart. Even though we know our sons are with the Lord, it doesn’t take away the incredible pain and loss of a precious child…. I am confident that God’s grace will strengthen and sustain you during this time as it did us. Please know that there are many of us who have lost a son that will be praying for you and your family.

    Our love and prayers,
    In Christ,
    Ted & Bonnie Harrison

Through the years you (and Cathe) have been a tremendous Godly influence on us and millions of others. As you have brought us comfort and understanding of God’s word, may our prayers and the prayers of millions now bring comfort to you and your family during this time of trial.
To Brittany and Stella we will pray for God’s comforting arms to surround you and the little one on the way.

May Christopher rest in the joy of our Savior’s arms.

Dearest Pastor Greg, Cathe, and Brittany,
I recently had to relocate to Sacramento and have been missing you and your preaching and teaching the word more than you can possibly imagine. I, too, have attended Harvest for nearly 15 years and was baptized there almost 3 years ago. You have become like family to me, just from seeing you all around the church, listening to Cathe speak at the women’s bible study, and being able to help in before and after care and communion. I felt so at home there and hope that I can return there before too long. I am so heartbroken for you all, but I know that our Lord Jesus and Savior is there at your side this very second, and taking care of you. I know that something powerful will come out of this tragedy, but most of all that you are taking comfort in the fact that Christopher is with the Lord at this very moment. What a blessing to have that assurance!! Take comfort in Him, I know you will. Thank you so much for always sharing your lives with us and know that I am praying for you without ceasing.

  16. Elizabeth says:

I’m Kathleen Ponce’s mother and I want to extend my sympathy to you and your family. I don’t know you, but from what I’ve heard from my daughter, Kathleen, you are a great man.

May God bless you all and watch over you and heal you.

    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth Walsh, Upland
